ToyBox Early Years has been selected to participate in this year’s Women and Girls Match Fund to raise £10,000!
We’re raising vital funds to ensure ToyBox can provide essential low-cost, early years education to children who need it most.
Children from families with a background of traumatic life experiences or with complex needs don’t always get the education they should. ToyBox believe that every child has the right to a good education and to learn in a safe and caring environment. It’s the foundation for a productive and rewarding life.
“It is our mission at ToyBox to provide a safe and secure environment by putting the needs of the child and their families first.”
Gemma Turner, ToyBox Early Years Manager
Children who have experienced trauma don’t always feel safe and need time to develop the confidence to learn through play and build secure relationships.
Staff at ToyBox are experts in providing trauma-informed care and high-quality education to children from families living with multiple disadvantages to support their physical, emotional and social development during their early years.
Make an impact today. Invest in a child’s tomorrow.
Donations will be generously matched by The Big Give during the appeal – doubling its impact and making a real difference to children’s lives in Brighton.
Donations to our appeal will be matched and could help to:
- Ensure our families, including those with multiple complex needs, have access to specialist, trauma-informed support during their child’s early years.
- Train our staff in Drawing and Talking Therapy to support children who may be struggling as a result of trauma or poor mental health – ensuring they can express themselves in healthy ways and explore and label their feelings.
- Train a SEND coordinator to ensure that our children with special educational needs and disability (and their families) are given necessary support to thrive at home and in education.
- Provide specialist sensory equipment for the emotional and physical development of our children with SEND or emotional needs.
Visit BigGive.org.uk to make a donation between Wednesday 11 and Wednesday 18 October 2023.
One donation, twice the impact.
